Les Miserables the Movie is a musical drama based on the stage musical of the same name, which in turn is based on the 1862 French novel by Victor Hugo. Directed by Tom Hooper with a star studded cast led by Hugh Jackman and Russell Crowe including Anne Hathaway and Amanda Seyfried. Scheduled for release on Christmas Day 2012 in U.S. and 11th January in UK
